These original French Army aluminium tent poles provide compact, dependable upright support for your field shelter.
Shock-Corded 3-Section Aluminium Design
Originally designed for the French military F1 and F2 shelter systems, these upright poles are built from lightweight tubular aluminium alloy. The three folding sections collapse neatly to just 38cm for packing into a rucksack, whilst the integrated elastic shock cord prevents lost parts and enables fast, friction-free assembly in low light.
Terrain Stability and Fabric Protection
To handle soft earth and wet pitches, each pole features a broad 55mm nylon foot that distributes downward pressure and prevents sinking into mud or sand. The opposing end is fitted with a smooth, rounded protective cap that seats safely under tarps, bashas, or ridge points without abrading or piercing the canvas.
Versatile Bivouac and Tarp Setups
Standing at a full 100cm assembled height with a sturdy 16mm diameter, these poles are an ideal match for custom bushcraft bashas, A-frame tarp pitches, or replacement pup tent uprights. They offer far greater rigidity than flexible fibreglass rods without the excess weight of solid steel.

This item was used by the French Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
