Cold War Alpine Footwear
Issued to the Österreichisches Bundesheer, known in soldier slang as the Zweier Bock or Feldschuh Schwer. Designed for rugged Alpine terrain, these boots combine thick leather construction with a high cuff to protect feet on rough ground during cold-weather duties.
Double Buckle Ankle Support
The signature top cuff uses two adjustable steel buckles over lower front lacing. This setup locks your ankle in place for heavy loads while allowing quick adjustment without unlacing the lower foot. A gusseted leather tongue helps seal out mud, water, and debris.
Heavy Waffle Rubber Sole
Built with a stitched welt and vulcanised rubber sole featuring a waffle grid tread. The dense rubber pattern gives solid traction over wet rock, loose dirt, and icy tracks, while the hard heel counter provides extra stability when carrying equipment outdoors.

This item was used by the Austrian Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
