Military History and Design
Originally issued to the Royal Netherlands Army (Koninklijke Landmacht), this pocket knife pouch (known officially as the tas zakmes) was a key component of their modular load-bearing kit. It was designed in the 1990s specifically to carry the standard-issue 111mm Victorinox pocket knife, protecting the tool from debris during field exercises.
Heavy-Duty Construction
This pouch is made from 1000-denier polyamide Cordura fabric, chosen for its exceptional resistance to abrasions and water in dense woodland environments. Featuring the official Dutch woodland DPM camouflage, it has a secure hook-and-loop front flap that allows rapid one-handed access to your tools while keeping them locked down during high-movement activities.
Modular Compatibility
On the reverse, a single PALS-compatible MOLLE strap with a heavy-duty steel press-stud secures the cover to your rucksack, vest, or belt. The inside of the strap features a textured backing to prevent shifting on standard belts. Sized at 12.5cm by 7.5cm, this Grade A surplus pouch is perfect for bushcrafters holding multi-tools, compasses, or fire starters.

This item was used by the Dutch Army during the Post‑Cold War (1991–2000) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
