These are original German Army rubberised goggles issued to Bundeswehr troops for field use.
Cold War Military Issue
Issued to Bundeswehr ground troops, mechanics, and dispatch riders during the Cold War, these goggles protected against dirt and engine spray. Known in Germany as the Staubschutzbrille under NATO stock number 4240-12-195-2250, they formed a standard part of personal field kit for vehicle crews and reconnaissance units operating in harsh conditions.
Durable Rubber Body
The one-piece moulded rubber frame flexes easily to match facial contours, preventing grit from entering from the sides. Integrated side vents allow air circulation to reduce misting. Fitted with a tough elasticated strap with metal tension sliders, the frame sits comfortably over field caps or standard helmets without slipping during movement.
Practical Utility & Reenactment
Supplied in Grade 1 surplus condition, these classic goggles feature clear polystyrene lenses that give a wide view. This item was used by the German Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
