This is an original US Korean Military Advisory Group shoulder patch.
Historical Advisory Mission
Formed in 1948, the Korean Military Advisory Group (KMAG) trained and supported the Republic of Korea Army before and during the Korean War. US Army advisers wore this shoulder sleeve insignia while stationed in South Korea. It provides a direct link to Cold War military history, making it ideal for historical reenactment and military collections.
Period Embroidery & Heraldry
The patch features a bell-shaped design measuring 8cm by 6.5cm. It displays an embroidered white eagle across a deep blue background, flanked by upper and lower red arches. A tightly stitched white border secures the edges to prevent fraying when stitched onto a uniform tunic, jacket, or display board.
Original Surplus Condition
These pieces are genuine US military surplus in unissued Supergrade condition, with light storage age. The reverse side reveals traditional white thread backing characteristic of mid-century US production. Each patch retains its vibrant thread colour and structured cotton backing for mounting.

This item was used by the US Army during the Early Cold War (1947–1960) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
