Normandy Airborne Innovation
Originally issued in 1943, this Respirator, Anti-Gas, Light, Mk. II was made to replace heavy, hose-linked breathing systems. By mounting the filter directly to the left cheek, it saved weight and let soldiers aim their rifles normally. This lightweight setup became standard gear for paratroopers and assault troops landing on the beaches of Normandy in June 1944.
Danish Civil Defence Service
After the war, many unissued British masks went to Denmark for civil defence. Designated as the M/45 Engelsk, they were given to the Civilforsvaret (CF). This set includes an olive carrying bag, stamped with the Danish crown. You also get a rare, original Danish civil service manual tucked inside the pouch.
Practical Field Storage Bag
The mask fits into a tough olive-drab cotton canvas carrier built for the field. It features two large side pockets with metal press-studs for extra gear and rear loops to slide onto a web belt. The top flap closes with a webbed strap and brass buckle, making this bag an excellent, robust utility pouch for carrying modern outdoor gear or bushcraft essentials.

This item was used by the British Army during the WWII (1939–1945) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
