Alpine Military Heritage
Originally issued in 1974 as the Schweizer Armee Wollpullover M74, Swiss soldiers nicknamed this heavy knit the "Wullesau" (wool sow) due to its toughness. It was made for alpine troops and mountain rescue teams facing freezing high-altitude conditions. This jumper was designed as a durable, insulating mid-layer that could survive years of active mountain training.
Heavyweight Thermal Build
The jumper is made from a dense interlock knit of 70% virgin wool and 30% polyamide. Blending natural wool with synthetic fibres improves friction resistance, preventing the fabric from thinning at the elbows and shoulders. The classic grey-green shade blends into outdoor settings, while the metal quarter-zip allows you to control airflow during heavy physical work.

This item was used by the Swiss Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
