Emergency Fire Starting
The pouch holds a compact ferrocerium fire starter rod alongside two cotton tinder plugs and a sheet of heavy-gauge tin foil. Strikes against the rod throw hot sparks to ignite the tinder quickly in wet weather. You can shape the foil into a wind baffle or a small tray to catch embers and keep your fire base dry on damp ground.
Compact Fishing Tackle
Inside the weave, you get a mini fishing set with monofilament line, two barbed fish-hooks, two split-shot weights, swivels, and lures. This setup gives you a simple way to catch fish in streams or lakes during emergency situations. The clear line and weighted hooks let you drop a rig into deeper water without carrying bulky tackle.
Heavy-Duty Cordage
Everything is bound in 3 metres of 100% polyester paracord fitted with a 6cm alloy carabiner and a small cutting blade. Use the carabiner to clip the bundle onto belt loops or rucksack webbing for instant access.
