This original Swiss Army M71 helmet cover features classic Alpenflage camouflage for military gear collectors and reenactors.
Alpine Camouflage Pattern
Designed for the Swiss Model 1971 steel helmet, this cover uses the distinctive TAZ 83 Alpenflage camouflage pattern. The high-contrast red, green, and brown tones provided visual disruption across alpine terrain and Swiss pine forests. Made from heavy-duty woven cotton twill, it prevents glare off the metal helmet shell while protecting the steel finish against scratches.
Secure Clip & Cord Attachment
For secure attachment in the field, the cover is built with four internal metal spring clips that latch over the helmet rim. An integrated rear drawstring cord allows you to pull the fabric taut across the shell, ensuring a snug fit that will not shift during movement or high activity.
Integrated Foliage Loops
Around the crown, stitched foliage loops allow soldiers to insert grass, twigs, or natural vegetation to break up the helmet outline. This makes it a practical camouflage accessory for historical reenactment, tactical games, and military surplus collections.

This item was used by the Swiss Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
