Designed for the standard service dress uniform (Dienstanzug), each board features a durable basalt grey twill wool-blend face edged with silver twisted cord braiding to signify officer rank status.

The base is lined with a thick wool felt underlay displaying the official Waffenfarbe (corps colour).
