This original German G3 gun cleaning kit is designed for servicing 7.62mm rifles.
Field Maintenance Kit
Issued to West German Bundeswehr troops alongside the Heckler & Koch G3 rifle, this field kit provides essential care for 7.62x51mm NATO firearms. Housed in a curved olive drab polymer case, it fits neatly into combat webbing or pockets. It is supplied in Supergrade unissued condition, preserving all original field components.
Bore and Chamber Brushes
The kit features a flexible aluminium pull-through chain that draws cleaning elements through the barrel without scratching the rifling. It includes calibre-specific wire bore brushes to scrub copper and carbon build-up, a dedicated chamber brush for roller-delayed lockups, and cotton pull-through string to wipe the barrel clean.
Oiler and Detail Tools
A compact squeeze oil bottle with a narrow applicator nozzle allows precise lubrication of moving parts in the field. A stiff bristle detail brush removes dirt and grit from receiver grooves and trigger mechanisms. The kit is equally suited for .308 Winchester and other 7.62mm civilian rifles.

This item was issued to the German Army during the Early Cold War (1947–1960) and remains in Supergrade condition. It is unissued original surplus, but may have minor dust or storage marks from warehouse storage. We recommend giving it a wash or airing it out before wearing.
