The Swiss M84 Field Canteen is an original military hydration set with a nesting aluminium cup.
Alpine Military Heritage
Adopted in 1984 by the Swiss Armed Forces, the Feldflasche 84 replaced earlier metal flasks to provide soldiers with a lightweight, rattle-free water carrier. The 0.8-litre bottle is moulded from impact-resistant polymer that withstands heavy knocks, drops, and freezing alpine temperatures without cracking or denting.
Flame-Ready Nesting Cup
The base holds an integrated 0.5-litre aluminium cup that nests tightly against the flask body. Because aluminium conducts heat efficiently, you can place this cup directly over a gas burner, camp stove, or open embers to boil water, brew tea, or prepare dehydrated rations without carrying a bulky mess kit.
Functional Field Hardware
Engineered with dual folding wire handles, the cup provides a firm grip when drinking hot liquids and folds flush for transport. The canteen is sealed by a heavy-duty screw cap featuring a rubber gasket to stop leaks, complete with a built-in port designed for protective hydration gear.

This item was used by the Swiss Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
